⁴⁰ Behold, I ^(A)long for your precepts;
    ^(B)in your righteousness give me life!

⁴¹ Let your ^(C)steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
    your salvation ^(D)according to your promise;
⁴² then ^(E)shall I have an answer for him ^(F)who taunts me,
    for I trust in your word.
